Paris day 1 And 2

We arrived today in Paris via the Chunnel ( a train that goes underwater through the English Channel) although unfortunately  no windows to view any sea creatures.  We got settled in our hostel which was a block away from the main train station. ( in comparison to London which was 20 minutes) We were thrilled to only have to carry our bags a short walk.  We ate dinner at a nice little place a few blocks away from our place where I got a fancy burger and Michael got a duck burger. We also quickly realized that Parisian people don't typically eat with their hands. Whoops!

Day 2 was packed full of touring. During the day we took a bus tour to go to all the major sights and took a walking tour learning more about the history of Paris. We decided to go the Notre Dame and climb to the top! An hour of waiting for a great view of Paris!
Below are some of those views and a picture of me climbing down the stairs.

We also saw the Arc de Triumph, Eifel tower, and many other famous monuments. At night we took a night tour of Paris to see the many amazing lights. We were supposed to be able to see the eiffel tower lighted up with glowing lights but for some reason it didn't happen. Apparently the first five minutes of every hour for a certain amount of time the tower lights up and sparkles. We decided to go see it on our own when the tour ended. After racing through the subway and running to the best viewing spot in Paris, 5 seconds later we were able to see the beautiful lights. (Pictures and video in slideshow)

While in Paris the Euro Cup was being hosted by France with lots of people chanting in the street for their respective teams:
Day 3: Today we visited the Louve Museum. We got to see artworks like the Mona Lisa and Venus De Milo.  After a couple hours at the museum we had lunch at the museum cafe and sat overlooking the glass pyramid in the square of the Louve. Michael ordered a beautiful dessert ( picture below) after a long day at the Louve we gathered our things and headed down to Bordeaux to enjoy France from another city!
