Day 2 London

Day 2: London
So many things to see, not enough time. Learning to appreciate things that make life more convenient such as 3G internet access, air conditioning, and possibly under-rated roller skate shoes.  All of which would make touring Europe much easier.  We managed to make it to many historical sights today, ride the London eye, and visit the wax museum.  Our lack of accessing internet during the day made it more difficult finding things such as "the mall" which I thought was a shopping district with food (we were hungry) and then finding out that it is really just an extremely long important street in which ceremonies sometimes take place, needless to say we did not fully appreciate its' very long distance or beauty.

The wax museum was also interesting and everything looked so real!

Parliament and Big Ben were fantastic and beautiful although perhaps one of the most exciting things all day was seeing three people carrying a cupcake statue of Big Ben.  When they set it down I got this picture and nearby school children all started clapping at the masterpiece.

At night we visited Shoreditch which is to London as OTR is to Cincinnati.  Lots of different types of people, very hipster with great food.  We even got to play indoor put-put on one of three indoor courses in what looked like a graffitied frat basement.  One hole even had a slide you had to slide down to finish the hole. Lots of fun!

Overall, already loving London and everything we have gotten to see.  Also very glad we chose to start this adventure in an English speaking country :)
